Some of the most popular Buick vehicles of recent years have at least one small thing in common: the inclusion of the “En-” prefix in their nameplates. Now we have great cause to expect another Buick will join this club, as Buick recently filed to trademark the “Envista” nameplate.
Back in 2016, Buick introduced the Avista concept, a
two-door coupe with a stunning profile that never made it into production. It’s
obvious, however, that the Envista nameplate is extremely similar to the Avista
of yesteryear, leading many to speculate that the new Envista could very well
be a realized Avista with a name-change to fit in better with the current
Still, others are guessing that the Envista nameplate will
be applied to an all-new concept. Either way, the discontinuation of the Buick
Cascada leaves a gap in the Buick passenger car lineup, so it seems likely that
any new concept would fill this spot.
New reports also suggest that even more new “En-“ nameplates are in the works at Buick. While none are official yet, “Envoy” and “Enspire” are rumored to be among the monikers in the works.
Of course, this is all speculation. But one thing is certain: Buick has plenty going on behind the scenes that gives us here at LaSorsa Chevrolet Buick good cause to get excited about the years to come. In the meantime, if you need a new Buick before the Envista makes its appearance, we’ve got you covered.

Now is the perfect time for spring cleaning, even if the season is still a bit away. Whether you’re wiping down your car or airing out your home, there are a number of things you can do to get rid of the dust, dirt, and gloom of the wintertime.
You can easily refresh your car’s carpeting with a few household materials, according to Progressive. First, remove your floor mats and give them a good power wash, hanging them to dry when finished. Next, use a combination of distilled white vinegar and hot water to scrub out any stains in the carpet. Finally, use a wet/dry shop vacuum to remove any extra salt or residue left from winter.
A combination of 50% distilled white vinegar and 50% tap water is also an ideal mixture for window cleaning, either in the home or in your car. If the glass is grimy, we recommend washing with soapy water and rinsing before spraying. By simply applying the vinegar-water solution to windows and wiping away, you’ll have a streak-free shine. Some auto experts also suggest using clean newspaper to wipe away any possible glare.
Washing and waxing is important as well, but be sure to pay attention to other details. For example, you should get new wipers in the spring, as they’re usually worn out from winter. Scrubbing headlights can sometimes remove gunk that builds up over time, and tire cleaning is great for a little added shine.
If your spring vehicle cleaning also involves getting rid of that old winter beater, then come by LaSorsa Chevrolet Buick, and we’ll be happy to get you behind the wheel of an excellent new car — and this time, the cleaning is on us.
Buick has always been a luxurious brand, but with the introduction of an all-new, high-end trim level, the company presents a new standard of luxury. The Buick Avenir trim adds elegant details to its design, both inside and out, plus additional standard technology and safety features.
The Buick Avenir trim debuted less than a year ago in the 2018 Buick Enclave. It’s been a big hit for drivers looking for a reliable family vehicle that will absolutely stand out. The second Avenir vehicle that will arrive at dealerships like LaSorsa Chevrolet Buick is the 2018 Buick LaCrosse sedan. This should be available by the end of February 2018.
Buick plans to continue adding the Avenir trim to one model at a time. There’s no news on what model might add the luxurious trim next, but representatives have suggested that it may eventually be available across the whole lineup. It will be exciting to see just how Buick implements added luxury into every one of its vehicles in the near future.
To learn more about the Avenir trim, you can stop in to see a Buick Enclave Avenir at LaSorsa Chevrolet Buick in person—or stay tuned for some Avenir-centric advertising during the upcoming men’s basketball tournament this season.
Here in New York, winter can arrive suddenly without much warning. That is why it is so important to winterize your car. Follow these simple steps below to get your car ready for the cold and snow.
Your vehicle’s fluids are what keeps everything running smoothly. Make sure all fluids are clean and at the proper level. Pay particular attention to your coolant, oil, and washer fluid.
Those four pieces of rubber that keep you in contact with the road can quickly become useless if they are worn too thin or damaged. Check your tread depth and you can even switch to winter tires, which do a better job of cutting through snow and staying soft when temperatures drop.
Any starting troubles can become exacerbated in the winter. Check your car’s battery, cables, and terminals.
In case you do get stuck on the side of the road, you want to be prepared. Pack an emergency kit with items like a blanket, extra gloves, a small shovel, flashlight, high-energy snacks, water, and other emergency items.
Here at LaSorsa Chevrolet Buick, we want to help you get through the winter. Schedule a service appointment with us today and let us do the work for you.
